Our wines
Barbera d'Asti Borgo Moncalvo
The Barbera d’Asti Superiore D.O.C.G. is produced both in an old vineyard from the 1950s and in a more recent one.

Due to the altitude and the late phenology of this variety, an intense thinning is necessary to obtain every year the best production.

Grapes are harvested, immediately pressed and sent to fermentation.

A long maceration is followed by drawing and racking off of the wine, that will be refined partly in steel in partly in barrique for at least a year.  

Alcohol: 13-14% vol.

Serving temperature: 16-18°C.

Combinations: elegant wine excellent with red meat, cheese, stew, bagna cauda (Piedmontese "hot dip") and more elaborate dishes.
